Welcome to the Graybeard Paine web site, formerly the site of Graybeard Paine, Inc.
PAINE CONSTRUCTION: The homebuilding activities of Graybeard Paine, Inc. ended with my retirement. However, I found that I can't really afford retirement, so I am available for light construction, handyman and repair work. I am set up to design houses, prepare blueprints and estimates. Paine construction provides plans, construction advice and building services in the Claremore/Tulsa area.
GRAYBEARD PRESS: This is my retirement hobby business. I make book presses, sewing frames, and bookbinding boards in my shop. I print and bind short run trade paperbacks such as poetry books, family histories, school histories, etc. I expect, before long, to also offer handicrafts made by my wife and friends. GRAYBEARD WRITES: Writing is my avocation, my fun hobby. I have a number of writing projects underway, including a family history, a bit of poetry and short stories, a humorous mystery, and a couple detective stories. Some may never be completed because I can't solve the mystery or because my characters won't behave. The Graybeard Writes link will take you to another site.LAZI DAWG: Update: LAZI DAWG launched. Previous visitors may remember that my wife and I wanted to build a stern wheel riverboat to cruise the Mississippi and it’s tributaries. We wanted to produce travel videos and write about attractions and events along the river. It is now obvious that our finances and our health will prevent such a grand undertaking, so I have started on an alternative; I am now building a small sail boat, suitable for sailing on the many lakes in Oklahoma. I am publishing photos and a description of the construction process on the "Lazi Dawg" pages.
